I did that once when it was about that hot, and I didn't have any water with me. I went about a mile-and-a-half and started wondering if it was safe. I have no idea how effectively your body can cool itself when the surrounding air is warmer than your body temperature. I know that sweat evaporating actually cools you, but I don't really know anything beyond that.Count Arioch the 28th wrote:Ever try running when it's that fucking hot? I feel like I shrunk to half size out there.
I felt pretty crappy and just walked back. I may have been worrying about nothing, or I may have been actually over heating. It's hard to tell.
I totally understand and relate to this. I love running, and I like the time I can have to myself when I run (assuming it's just me running and I'm not running with my wife while pushing the jogging stroller. That's a different experience).Count Arioch the 28th wrote:However, I have noticed that driving your frustrations into the pavement is more therapeutic than any shrink I've ever been to. And I have mostly conquered my sensitivity to heat (although I still don't like heat...)
